PSA is following up last year’s Citroen SpaceTourer 4×4 E concept with their Peugeot Rifter 4×4 – to be introduced in Geneva on March 8th. The Rifter is based on a new PSA platform shared with the Citroen Berlingo and Opel/Vauxhall Combo Life.

The concept-car is ready for some proper off-roading thanks to a Dangel 4×4 system and accessories overload: roof tent, BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, 300Wled bar: the lot. It even comes with eM02 FS Powertube Peugeot electric mountain bike!

Inside, the black, grey and yellow theme carries on with yellow striped black seats and matching stitching.

The Peugeot’s ground clearance is been raised by 80 mm. The Rifter features a Dangel full four-wheel-drive system using viscous coupling and has three drive modes via a dash selector. ‘2RM’ drives the SUV in front-wheel drive, ‘4RM’ sends power to the rear axle when the front loses traction, while ‘Lock’ puts the Rifter in full four-wheel drive. Power comes from PSA’s 1.5 Turbo Diesel 4 pot engine.

The Rifter 4×4 Concept sports a dark grey finish with matte yellow accents, while the front grill and tailgate are finished in matte black.
