The Bowler Factory team is en route to Teruel in northeast Spain for the Baja Aragón rally event, providing race support for two Bowler Bulldog customers as they line up for the start alongside more than 230 other competitors looking forward to taking part in the longest-running European cross-country rally.
The 35th running of this event boasts the largest entry in recent years, with the two Bowler Bulldogs featuring in the Open Class which runs alongside the FIA class in this seventh round of the 2018 World Cup for Cross Country Rallies.
A Friday afternoon 13km prologue will be followed by two stages on Saturday and one on Sunday, running through 800kms of the region’s tracks, roads and undulating dusty and stony terrain in the searing heat.
Director of Bowler, Richard Hayward, is one of Bowler’s supported drivers, racing in his new striking green Mono-turbo V6 diesel-powered Bulldog. At 67 years young, this age-defying man is no stranger to extreme off-road rally racing, with experience spanning almost two decades in some of the world’s most legendary rally race events including the Dakar.
